The Cambridge Speed Skating Club (CSSC) provides youth ages 5-18 the opportunity to participate in the sport of speed skating, be it recreational or competitive. Over the almost 50 years the club has been active, we have sent dozens of skaters to the national and world stage. Our club boasts seven Olympians, which is the result of the excellent programming and coaching that our club offers skaters. More importantly, CSSC makes lifelong skaters who love the sport and enjoy every minute they spend on the ice.
This year we are starting a mat sponsorship program in order to offset the high cost of ice time, maintain our safety equipment, and continue to provide a reasonably priced, alternative ice sport to the youth of Cambridge. Most of our fee-based income goes towards our ice rental, and we would like to ensure that no child is turned away from learning or excelling in speed skating due to lack of funds. Our new sponsorship program will help keep our fees at a reasonable level for families who might not otherwise be able to participate.
We would love to add your company as one of our sponsors this year. We currently have skaters from across the region joining us at practice every week, and this year we are hosting the Provincial Elite Championships, which will bring skaters and their families to the Hespeler Arena from across the province.
