BINGO

To help keep the cost of registration down for our families, we have partnered with the Cambridge Gaming Association. The CGA is a non-profit organization that consists of approximately 70 Non-Profit/Charitable Organizations from the City of Cambridge. The group of non-profit/charitable organizations participate in bingo fundraising assignments at the Cambridge Bingo Centre.

Each Cambridge Speed Skating family is expected to complete two Bingo assignments over the course of the year. Shifts can be morning, afternoon or evening, weekdays or weekends, so there is always a way to fit it into your schedule. Before a Bingo shift can be completed there is a mandatory training session for new volunteers. This can count towards one of the mandated Bingos for new families.

Bingo is a fun and easy way to help keep the cost of our club affordable for young families. We are grateful to the CGA for their many years helping the Cambridge Speed Skating Club.

FUNDSCRIP

Cambridge Speed Skating Club also has an ongoing fundraising campaign with FundScrip. FundScrip is Canada’s most successful gift card fundraiser. The concept is simple, purchase gift cards through FundScrip and then shop where you normally shop or give the cards to family and friends for gifts. With over 230 participating retailers, there is a card for everyone. A percentage of each purchase goes towards the CSSC to help offsets costs including registration fees.
