Blake Morrison has been a coach with Cambridge Speed Skating Club since 1997. He is currently the Head Coach of the Development Team and an Assistant Coach for the Elite Team. Blake is also involved in the summer dryland and ice training, and brings an energetic and positive attitude to the rink every day. Blake is an NCCP Certified Level 3 Speed Skating Coach.

Blake is a Level 3 Track Steward. He has been the chief track steward at 2 Canadians, 2 North Americans, Senior trials, 3 Ontario Winter Games, numerous Ontario Cups, Provincials, and Ability meets. He has coordinated and been the programmer for many summer camps at the local and provincial level. Blake has coached across the country from regional to national meets including Ontario Winter Games, Canadians, and Eastern Regionals. Blake was the lead coach for the 2015 Canada Winter Games.

In his earlier years, Blake coached baseball and was a lifeguard at a community pool where he also taught swimming lessons. He was involved in Air Cadets for 6 years, where he coached a variety of sports including orienteering and parade drills. Blake is an avid mountain biker and runs a successful summer mountain biking program for our Elite skaters.

Blake is a firefighter with the City of Cambridge, and is presently a Captain at the Hespeler Fire Station. He is certified as a First Responder and CPR Level C.
